Rose Sax, proficient in both the Alto and Tenor Saxophone, skillfully adapts her instrumentation to complement diverse genres and capture varied timbres of music. Renowned for her exquisite performances, she entrancingly plays on the legendary Mark VI Selmer saxophone, infusing each note with a timeless vintage charm, resulting in a truly captivating sound.
Rose embarked on her musical journey within the realms of school and university big bands, honing her craft before transitioning to more intimate jazz ensembles. Drawing from her jazz syllabus foundation, she seamlessly transitioned into the realm of professional freestyle, captivating audiences in various nightclubs and private members' clubs. Noteworthy venues in her repertoire include the illustrious Annabel's in Mayfair, the vibrant Gigalum, and the chic McQueen in Shoreditch.
Recently, Rose has graced breathtaking venues such as The RoundHouse Theatre, The O2, and the enchanting Cork Opera House in Ireland, as well as the majestic Udaipur City Palace in India. In more intimate and lively settings, she has mesmerized audiences at The Jazz Cafe in London, sharing the stage with punk artist Walter Lure from Heartbreakers, and has delighted guests at numerous London hotels including The Waldorf, Coya, and Emirates Stadium with her captivating jazz repertoires.
Not limited to live performances, Rose has lent her talent to recording sessions for original artists, sound clips, and cover bands. She prides herself on delivering high-energy performances, enriched by a decade of drama school training since early childhood, which imbues her shows with a unique showmanship edge.
In addition to her mastery of the saxophone, Rose's versatile talents extend to instruments such as the flute, clarinet, and keyboard, allowing her to further diversify her musical expression.
Rose's international performances span across a myriad of captivating locations, including India, Monaco, Bahrain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and France. She has graced prestigious events such as The British Grand Prix, MPIM, and The Monaco Yacht Show with her mesmerizing musical talents.
Beyond her solo performances, Rose offers the versatility of collaborating with a DJ, percussionist, or pianist, enriching the auditory experience with dynamic combinations. Equipped with her own decks, she effortlessly crafts pre-made mixed DJ set lists and seamlessly transitions between sets, showcasing not only her musical prowess but also her technical finesse and professional showmanship.
