Biography
Minnie and The Moochers, established in 2013, stand as your premier London-based Blues and Motown function band. Originating as a function band for a slow blues dance class, their repertoire has expanded to embrace the Funk, Soul, and Rock scenes of the 60s and 70s.
Infusing their own flair into beloved classics and consistently aiming to energize the audience to hit the dance floor, this band delivers unforgettable performances. Their setlist includes tracks from iconic artists such as Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Sam&Dave, Credence, Blues Brothers, Al Green, and Otis Redding.
Meet The Band:
- Drums: Daniele
Italian-born drummer Daniele graduated with honors from the prestigious BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music Institute in London). His mastery of Rhythm & Blues and Jazz, learned under industry luminaries like Horacio El Negro Hernandez, Dave Weckl, and others, ensures a groovy and dynamically timed performance that will keep you dancing all night.
- Bass: Joe
An Italian session player, arranger, and composer, Joe graduated from the N.A.M. school of music in Milan. His versatility spans genres from 70s disco/dance to hard rock and acoustic smooth jazz. Known for adding his unique colors to the songs he plays, Joe has collaborated with notable artists such as Cheryl Porter, Tullio de Piscopo, Daniel Stenbaek, and more.
- Guitar: Giulio
A young and talented international session player, concertist, and composer from Italy, Giulio honed his skills at the Gilfredo Cattolica music academy. His unique style, blending fingerpicking and flatpicking techniques, has earned him collaborations with artists like Antonio Forcione, Greg Miller, Phil Ramacon, and others.
- Male Vocals: Dom
Canadian-born singer/songwriter and charismatic frontman Dom brings an incredibly unique and powerful tone to the band. With experience as the lead singer and lyricist in original bands, Dom is a genuine entertainer who gives his all at every show, making him the frontman every audience desires.
